It would be EXTREMELY selfish to not sacrifice one life to save millions, but I would relinquish that choice to fall on that significant other. I could never make that choice for them.

Listen to the song.. Dum maro dum. Its a hindi song.. well the whole song says what the hell everyone else has done for us.. why should we care.. we will do whatever we want to do...
I will not do that.
The president. Its up to him. But I don't think he has any obligation to do either ways. It is something that I think can't be said as right or wrong.

If you are trying to make a parallel with the bible, you are failing miserably.

According to Christian mythology, Jesus is God, did not die and sacrificed nothing.

So, why would anyone try to offer the example of sacrificing a loved one to the story of Jesus?

The events you describe are unlikely to the point of being unworthy of serious consideration.

Not a bloody chance in hell. I wouldn't even let him find out that the offer had been made, because the fool would probably sacrifice himself.

What do you expect, us to say yes? We aren't God. No one is going to give up the person they love most for mankind. Seriously.
