It takes different people different amounts of time to fall in love. So keep that in mind and just be patient. If she's saying that she "likes you a lot" that's a good sign. Some people over-think everything and confuse the hell out of themselves. Just lay back and let it ride out. Since you haven't provided me with much information, how can I really give you a straight answer anyway? If it's been a year and she just says, "I like you a lot" then there's a problem. But if its been a month, that's a different story. The only way to really know is to tell her that you love her while looking into her eyes and see what she says back. But remember, you could be left with a feeling of rejection if she doesn't reciprocate.

Sounds like she LIKES YOU A LOT. She's not in love with you! And if she was she would tell you. Or maybe she just needs a little more time for things to develop before she says those three big words. I'd say give it some more time.. It's got potential !

Some may say it, because they don't want to scare you off, but most say what they mean. If she is saying that, most likely that is all she feels right now. Patience. Give her time and things might change. If it's meant to be, it will happen on it's own time. Have faith.

You can tell by the way she looks at you. Usually the guy needs to say I love you first. It gives teh women reassurance when she says I love you.

Well she told you, "I like you a lot" does not equal "I love you." I would say she isn't in love with you and is actually mature enough to know not to throw "I love you" around incorrectly.
