i told this woman that i just met that i wasn't going to come over her house anymore,but joking.she got mad.

she got mad started throwing things on the floor.walked back and forth through the house and didn't say anything to me until i told her i was only joking.she is forty-eight years old. why did she acted like that.

First of all, why in the world would you tell her that as a joke? To me I wouldn't want to date you anymore either if you told me that as a joke. You had no sensitivity toward her feelings. Usually a guy telling a girl that really means it. If your not interested in her then don't bother. Let her go and find someone who makes her happy and doesn't have time for playing games. Your too old as well to play those kinds of games with her. Honesty is the best policy.

As far as her throwing things and walking back and forth, you might do well to stay far away from someone who is that immature as well. Sounds like both of you need to do some growing up.
