You mom knows what's best and when you get older you will understand that. My mom died when I was your age and I didn't get a chance to have all of those nice talks and or advice, so I will say to you enjoy the time that you spend with your mother and know that she is not trying to hurt but protect you from the cruel and evil people in this world.

As much as this may not be the answer you are looking for, your mother does know best. You are only 12, and there are a LOT of SICK people out there in this world.

My daughter is 14 and i dont let her go to the movies alone with friends. I take them and let them see what they want and i see something else and meet them out front afterwards. There are to many things that can happen. Trust your mother that shes only doing what she thinks is best because she loves you. If it makes you feel better go to myspace and type this in http://www.myspace.com/cocomims thats my daughter she'll help you.

since you asked 'should i be able to??' i will answer honestly and directly, no you shouldn't be able to.
while it is maddenning to hear your mother say 'no' to things, there is ALWAYS a reason..you can hate it, but later on, you will be thankful. of course, i know that this is a very annoying thing to hear..but hang in there. we all know exactly what you're feeling now.
also, i have to say, it also depends on where you live. if you are somewhere like nyc, it's normal she says no. if youre in a very very tiny place, it might be easier to convince her..

Your mother is right. She must not trust you for some reason and you need to talk with her about it.

I AGREE WITH YOUR MOTHER. YOU ARE ONLY 12. NOT 16.
YOUR MOTHER KNOWS WHATS BEST. REMEMBER ONE THING. YOU TOO, WILL BE A PARENT SOMEDAY. AND THEN YOUR DAUGHTER WILL BE ASKING THAT QUESTION.
