why do some Christians believe...........?
that yahoo R&S is a forum set up strictly for them and their beliefs?
Funny thing I thought it was a place to ask questions and share opinions, ideaology, faith or lack there of. Is your question not also true of every belief? just look at the name calling and flat out crudness? In this country, and on this forum every one has a right to share their believes. but should also understand that with freedom come responsibilty. If you want respect to be shown to you, you must first give it, then you deserve it.

As far as I know we don't. There's just more of us. But I suppose the same thing can be said of atheists - if they don't believe in anything spiritual, then their sole purpose is to annoy and little else.

I've seen atheists rant about Christians needing to keep their opinions to themselves on the R&S Questions and Answers (not a message board forum by the way).., which shows sheer stupidity - not intelligence.

I have noticed that, it's like they think that everyone is christian, so they can't believe it when they see a non-religious person take an interest in the subject. That's why you see so many christians post questions like "why would an athiest answer a question in the R&S Section!"

People of other religions don't ever post that question. I think there is just an assumption that everyone worthwhile is christian.

It is ironic since they also believe that they are a persecuted minority under attack from all sides.

I think part of the problem is that most Christians take for granted that they are "the only" people who use these forums. I think that people in other religions should be more outspoken about their beliefs...without being antagonistic or persectuing.

They're used to excluding people. When you make-up a majority and have had your way since the founding of the country, you get like that without thinking about it. It's not a conscious thing. Just lack of intelligent thought.

You raise a very valid point... religion and spirituality isn't necessarily limited to one religion, one denomination, one way of thinking. However since the vast majority of users of the English speaking areas of Yahoo would be Christian (a cultural and sociological reality, not a religous one), statistically there would be more Christians espousing Christian religious and spirituality points of view. I'd welcome a discussion and presentation of other faith and spirituality traditions.

The forum is used for a lot of Christian bashing - but that's ok.
Bring it on.
I'll sift through it looking for valid questions....
