ASK THEM IF THEY REALIZE THAT THE LONGER YOU TWO ARE TOGETHER THAT YOU WILL BEGIN TO LOOK LIKE HIM AND AND VISA VERSA

That's a really dumb reason for your parents to not want you to marry him. There must be another reason. They might not think he's good enough for you and don't want to tell you that. Sit down and ask your parents what their problem really is. If that's really the reason they don't want you to marry him then do it anyways. They're just not being supportive, but they'll get over it.
Sometimes love can be blind and we don't always see the negative. If they end up having issues on something other than his looks, listen to them and consider what they've said, and even talk to your guy, before making an actual decision. It's your life and you should do what is best for you. Good luck!

If you are an only girl chances are no one will be good enough so if you really love this guy marry him and either your parents will get used to the idea or they can lump it,do you want to be miserable for the rest of your life because your worried about upsetting them, so go girl and marry the man you love they will eventually come round to idea

We live in a society where looks are everything...but you know what? That rule needs to change. IF you love this person unconditionally and can accept his "flaws" then I say do what's going to make you happy. If you live for you, you have nothing to worry about. There are always going to be people in your life who don't support your decison but oh well. Don't worry about those people and if your family really loves you, they will accept whatever decision is going to make their child happy.

Tell your parents he is your choice not theirs. Explain to them that you love him very much and because of that love you see him as he is, which is a beautiful person. You need to focus on what makes you happy not your parents. Love lasts a lifetime looks are superficial and decline with age.

The question is what needs to be done and what does his looks have to do with anything? If you are of legal age they cant tell you to marry or not... Follow your heart, and do what is right for you.

it shouldn't matter what your family thinks of him. If they loved YOU, which is how it should be, they would be happy that you have found someone that you love and they would support you.
The same is true if he was a different race/nationality than you, if it's someone of the same gender, or a different religion, or speaks a different first language...it doesn't matter. Love is love and your family should accept that.
