Yes, there is a point.
According to the Quran, this is what Surah 2:8 says, "Of the people there are some who say: "We believe in Allah and the Last Day;" but they do not (really) believe."
Wamina alnnasi man yaqoolu amannabiAllahi wabialyawmi al-akhiri wamahum bimu/mineena
It is referring to hypocrites, people who say they believe in Allah, but their actions and way of life contradict what they say.
The duty of Muslims is to spread the word of Islam as peacefully as we can, while still respecting other people's beliefs. This called Dawa. Converts are highly revered in Islam.

ofcurse you did not copy the whole verse accuratly. you even make ur own translation. this is the Quran please, not any other book.
in 2:8 it refers to those who said: we believe in God and the day of judgment but their hearts did not believe. they just say so to trick the believers and trick God. but no one can trick God.

wrong.. this is not the rigth verse.. it is
" OF THE PPL THERE R SOME WO SAY "WE BELEIVE IN GOD N THE LAST DAY" BUT THEY REALLY DONOT BELEIVE"
so whats wrong in this... most of the ppl just say it by mouth n donot beleive in it .. so they r NOT muslims.... ISLAM IS ALL ABOUT PRACTICING!!!!!! not about just saying God is one by mouth!!!!!!
ISLAM is all about beleiving by heart n not just by sayin it by mouth....
