well im an old fashion type of girl so i think the guy should pay for the date and make the first move. Its a good idea to invite him over to your house so your mom can meet him and get to know him. Then i think you should go on a walk and get to know eachother. Well thats what i would do. I hope i have helped you.

When you first see him give him a hug. A hug is not something to be embarrassed to give. This guy did invite you to go out with him again AND with his friend and his girlfriend. He definitely likes you and wants to see you more. So, if he doesn't hug you, then hug him! I don't think it would be stupid to invite him over to make cookies, but it may be a little soon. It's only your second date. However see how things go and if YOU feel it's right ask him.

Movie theater: perfect. The best signal I've ever gotten from a girl that she wanted to be held was in a movie theater. She leaned in & put her head on my shoulder, partway down on my chest. Out of reflex, my arm went around her.
As for the idea for the next date, it isn't stupid at all. I would probably invite him over to try the cookies rather than make them, unless he enjoys baking. Most of us guys love eating, but not nearly as many love cooking. Besides, if you & your mom are cooking, too, that might make for an awfully crowded kitchen. You know the old saying about too many cooks? It's true. I actually enjoy cooking, but not with more than one person helping me. I'd suggest you ask him to come over for the movie, & serve the cookies. That might work a little better this early in the game. Good luck.

Laughter is the best cushion for everything! When you guys are laughing, just slip your arm around his waist and hold it there. He'll get the clue and if he likes you, he'll hug you back.
Aw, that's sweet. Heck yes! Invite him to make cookies and watch a movie. I'm sure your mom will greatly appreciate getting to meet this guy. Not stupid at all. Good luck, Chica.

You make the first move, girl! It's the twenty-first century, guys don't need to make the first move anymore. The cookies and a movie sounds like a great idea. . .just take it slow, and things will be fine!

Take slowly and do not do anything. Just see what he will do and be supportive to his initiative. Too early to hug on your part, but you can accept if he tries. Early on home cooking.

not unavoidably, lol it truly is said as a date, i imagine because they set a date jointly on which they are gonna go out. i imagine different human beings do quite a few issues on their dates.
