OMG...It's actually quite lovely in the summertime...it's by the Pacific Ocean so there's plenty of ocean breeze ....quite a lovely town -- also known as The South Bay, due to its' beachfront area.....

Torrance is a town with population of 142,621 located in the South Bay part of Los Angeles. It is very diverse in every way, from the population to its various areas. Eastern part tends to be older and more middle income. West parts of Torrance have million dollar homes and a beautiful beach. Center is the business part with mega malls, HQs of Toyota US, Honda US, a refinery etc. It has some of the best schools in California. It is a place where you can find everything ... Weather is great all year long.

A fairly nice town, short trip to the beach. Often referred to as the last bastion of white America. All services, good schools, looks like the mid west, sounds like it too. Not very sophisticated.

a typical heavy populated city, kinda dumpy, and hot during the summer months.
