My daughter is 2 and a half and she loves "Baby Anabelle." It is made by Chou Chou and can be found at Toys R Us and Wal-Mart. It is very realistic and makes cute sounds. My daughter has grown increasingly attached to her favorite baby! I have also listed the website. There are many dolls and accessories! Good Luck! I know how trying it can be to find the "perfect" gift.

You should see what your daughter likes. I have a 2 and 4 yr old. My 2 yr old daughter loves Dora and Blues clues. Cause she is always taking about them and try to act them out. What does your daughter likes best? Is there a cartoon or movie that shell sit and watch and enjoy more than others?

Why don't you ask the parents what does the child needs? Depends on what they tell you and you can affort it get it if not a gift certificate to a clothing or toy store is good,If that fails give them money to use on the child.

For my son 3rd b-day we got him alot of leap frog produtcs. Fun and learning all rolled into one. He love the letters that goes on the fridge they have one where you put the letter into a case and it sings songs for you and tells you the sounds of the letters he would play with that for days. They also have one that will spell 3 letter words. I know you said you had a girl, but all kids love songs and learning.

Clothes...and a savings bond...or her favorite toy... You get the best of three worlds here. You take care of future, immediate, and ongoing needs.
