I just think it is so hard to trust men you meet on the internet. They talked to me and asked me out so "HOW" many other woman are they doing that with and saying they're not! Any opinions on how to get past this.

I suppose you can trust them as much as you can trust any man you meet. I mean, I am on the internet now, but later, I may be in the town where I live. If you lived in the same town, & met me, it wouldn't necessarily make me any more trustworthy than if you met me online first. I do recommend if you go out with anyone you don't know, be it from the internet or otherwise, you meet him at the destination for the first date, or at least the first destination if you will be going multiple places. Then, you have the chance to get to know him a bit before you go riding in his car with him. Otherwise, I think the internet is as viable a dating forum as anything else, & may be moreso these days with the busy schedules so many of us have. I wouldn't use the fact that you met them on the internet as the sole reason you wouldn't date them. Best of luck, & be safe.

Can you trust a man you meet at a bar, a club, church, the grocery store, school, the gym? What difference does it make WHERE you meet him? Some people lie, some people don't. Most people are on the internet nowadays, so if you don't trust them, then you knock out the majority of men. If I were you, I wouldn't trust the man who asks to buy you a drink. Trust the man that wants to get to know you when your mind is clear.

I wouldn't trust anyone. You never know. Think about it: you never know how old the other person is, don't know if they are a murderer or other criminal. They could be married, or talk to numerous other women online. You have no clue. In my location (in Syracuse, NY) a 16 year-old girl had an internet boyfriend (in fact, this girl was someone who I went to school with), and met him at her house. He ended up killing her. He blindfolded her and said that he had a surprise for her and he stabbed her in the neck. She opened her eyes and tried to fight back but he pounded the life out of her literally with a bar stool and a tv. Then he set the house on fire to cover it up. Never, never, never, trust anyone.

you cant trust a guy you meet on the internet. Cuz he could be telling you all sorts of lies. I wouldnt meet up with anyone from the internet because they could be a real sicko. There are alot of messed up people in the world.

Many ppl meet thru the net, and has become couples. It just depends on your luck and you need to be careful when meeting them. Always have someone watching you meet him from a distance.

you have to look at guys on the internet like guys at a bar. it's just a meat market. 90% of them are normal guys looking to have fun (get layed), 8% are creepy, and 2% you can trust.
