Hey dont worry so much... I cant tell you that you wont cry because you probably will... but as far as the baby goes just get all cozy at Grandma's and make a clean break. At the age of 1, she really hasnt developed that seperation anxiety yet and will hardly notice (especially if Grandma keeps her busy)...YOU on the ohter hand..... just stay strong and remember that you will be back very soon!

I don't think there is a way to leave without upsetting the both of you...but I think it's a good thing. You probably need the time off and besides that...there's going to a day when you have to leave her at daycare or preschool anyway...

Its not a bad thing...you're going to cry no matter what...and she may take it ok if she's used to staying with nana & pappy...but eventually ...she'll figure out you've been gone too long...and she'll flip out for a little bit too..

Don't worry ...you gotta do it...and everything will be ok.

:)

Good Luck...bring tissues.

I hate to tell you this, but it won't be easy for either one of you. It is actually usually harder for the mom. Don't worry, you've left her in good hands - grandparents won't be surprised or annoyed if you call to check in every half hour (I wouldn't suggest doing this, though - it would only make it harder for you!). This will also give your daughter and her grandparents a wonderful opportunity to bond with each other. Try and relax!

Why are staying away from home when you are only 20 miles away? If it will upset you that much just commute. If you must stay away, then as long as she is used to her grandparents and staying overnight with then she will be fine.

You're leaving her in good hands. Don't be worried. Also, you should make sure to give her a nice good bye, and get her busy with your mother-in-law/Father-in-law. Then when she's playing happily either silently say " bye" with a blown kiss or just leave. You've already said your good byes.
