how many of you have heard on the news some time ago about the girl who got murdered for meeting someone she met on myspace? and how people are saying to erase your myspace accounts and never go on there again and how myspace should be banned and all this stuff? honestly yes its tragic that that happened to her and im not saying it was right that it happened also. But am i the only one that thinks she got what she deserved?! i know thats totally bad to say and a little morbid but she put herself in that possition and she had to face the consequences of her actions? How many of you think that that could and has happened everywhere on the web not just on myspace and that it shouldnt be "punished" or held totally responsible for this? What are your thoughts

Of course it's happened everywhere. The gov't is trying to eradicate myspace b/c it's so popular and they can't regulate it or get money from it. The pentagon is now looking into shutting it down. Enjoy your civil liberties while you still have them...

I don't think she 'got what she deserved' in that no one deserves to die for making a childish misjudgement. But yes, I do agree with you. MySpace isn't responsible for it. It was just a tool for communication.
But people are trying to limit the time kids spend on the internet and with filters and such, it's almost insanity. However, with kids trying to hack and undermind their parents 24/7 they need to make better judgements.

i dont think it was the fault of myspace (i mean the guy found her through myspace) but she chose to talk to someone she didnt kno. it was mostly the fault of the guy cuz he was the sick murderer who hurt a younger innocent girl.

I think that no one should be banned from my space because it is her fault that she went stupid and went to go met the person even little kids don't go places with strangers
