no you cannot go back becuase you are going to have to write it to your harddrive. What you can do is go to google and find out how to parition your harddrive (running two operating systems) most of the time (like myself) parition windows and linux but if you want to try vista go ahead and paritiion the drive. The only problem is when you want to delete the vista it will remove xp.
this takes alot of storage so make sure you have over 100GB to your system and the latest system requirements
the other problem that you are going to have is that the verison of windows vista that is out there is a beta version (not the full version) and it is not free. Your best bet is to wait unitl the full verison comes out next year, backup all you old files and move them to vista operating system

No you can not uninstall Vista. I reccomend either a backup image of your current installation of windows or installing vista to a different hard disk.

Well, I don't know too much about Vista, but I would think it would partition like XP or other OS's before it. If you have an XP CD, you might be able to use it to delete all partitions and reinstall XP.

nonsence sure you can but if you don't backup your files you may lose some things stick your xp disk in and reformat and partition the computer and reinstall
