Hematite is a silvery black stone. It was formerly known as bloodstone beause of the reddish 'soot' it leaves when it's worked on a lapidary wheel. It's a good 'worry stone'.It's great for grounding and for alleviating depression.Tigers eye is a good balance stone. It's main uses are for courage, energy and protection. It can also be used in money attracting spells. You can find either one in New Age shops or online. Both are pretty inexpensive.

Hematite is stone that looks like dried blood, until it's polished, and then it becomes a soft, shiny gray color. You can usually find it in lapidary or stone shops. It's not expensive -- I see it all the time in tourist type stores that have the little bags you can fill with the tumbled rocks. Red tiger's eye -- same thing. You may want to look in the phone book and see if you have a "New Age" type store locally. Last time I looked, the stones cost about 50 cents apiece.
