Not good for your dog's skin and fur. It is suggested to bathe them once a month. You can get conditioning shampoo if you need to bathe them more often, but it is still not recommended to bathe "ROVER" too often.

Like the other groomer stated, you can bathe your dog as often as needed.

The old wives tale about stripping oils is not true AS LONG as you use a gentle high quality shampoo and follow with a remoisturizing conditioner. The conditioner will help put back any oils that may have been lost.

Shampoos years ago were detergent based. Products have come a long way since and it is safe to bathe as needed. Once a day is a little extreme..I don't think a dog would get that dirty overnight where it would require daily bathing. I would think once a week tops would be plenty, once a month minimum.

A clean pet is a happy pet :)

Bathing too often will cause dry itchy skin and will strip oils from a dogs coat is a MYTH!!! If you are using bar soap or dish detergent yeah, but not by using a good shampoo. Unfortunatly alot of people, and even some vets still believe this is true.

Bathe your dog as often as is needed. Just be sure to use a good quality mild shampoo and conditioner and rinse thoroughly.
I personally don't see a reason for having to do it everyday other than maybe rinsing their muddy paws off and cleaning around their eyes. Once a week is fine.
You said you only use shampoo once a week...you are just hosing or wiping them off daily? That is fine.
I bathe my dogs once a week (as well as some clients dogs) and have been since I got them. My one dog is almost 17. Never have they had dry skin or a ruined coat from being bathed.
In fact, the dogs that I see who have major skin problems are the ones who only get bathed once or twice a year.

Even if you only use shampoo once a week you will still be washing out the natural oils in his skin. Dogs do not generally need a bath at all unless they have rolled in something smelly or have something like mange. You will do them a lot of harm if you carry on washing like that.
You will also not get rid of the smell as the skin will go into overdrive and overproduce the stuff that produces the smells!
Please stop. Only wash when absolutely necessary.

At the most I would do it every week. Doing it every day will dry out his/her coat. If you're going to bathe your dog every week make sure it's an oatmeal-based shampoo. It will help keep your dog's skin less dry. Generally, unless your dog is outside majority of the time, you really only need to bathe your dog anywhere from 2 - 4 weeks at a time.

NO NO NO! Ypou will dry your dogs skin and coat out. It will take all the oils out of your dogs skin and could end up with skin problems. Unless you dog got into something , I would not give it a bath but every 2 or 3 months. Also, do not use human shampoo, use dog shampoo.

YOU only use shampoo once a week yet you bath your dog every day? If you don't like dog smell wet dog smells even worse and it NOT good for the dog. Use shampoo on yourself more frequently and give your poor dog a break

No - it is really bad for their coats and there is no reason why you should be doing it.

Regular grooming should keep a dogs coat in good condition and they only need to be bathed if they have rolled in something and grooming can't get rid of the smell.

If you feel that you need to bath your dog every day then YOU have a serious behaviour problem and:

a) should not own a dog and

b) need therapy

No. You will wreck your dogs skin and coat. An indoor dog should only be bathed once every month or two, barring emergencies. In between baths just a good daily brushing will do.

Shampooing once a week is even too often. Dogs have a natural oil in their skin that they need to keep from having dry, itchy skin.
