This one girl that I am friends has been a bit flirty with me. She is flirty with everyone, but she has become what seems to be more flirty with me than she used to be. Suspecting that she was playing with me, I backed off and kept our conversations to a minimum lately, as a result, she sent her sister last night to ask me if I was mad. Her sister also suggested later that if I take dancing classes I should be her sister's partner. I don't know why she would say this, but I wonder if she was not playing and actually does like me?

She likes you. You backing off has made her feel like her stronger hints were rejected. The sister is just her little pawn to get info without fear of rejection.

Don't try yo figure out a woman.
Just whe you thing you got them figured out, they will change the game plan an mess you up.
If you like her, let her know. If she is interested, she will let you know. Spot thinking and get in the game. You may be missing something really good.

It means that you are being a wussy and she is having trouble dealing with you as a man (because you aren't acting like one). If you think she is attracted to you then open your mouth and say, "Hey....are you attracted to me?" If you are attracted to her, then open up your mouth and say, "Hey....I'm attracted to you" and go from there. Likely, she is attracted to you and expects you to do one of the above and because you aren't she is confused. Better confused than she should think you are too chickenshit to be the one who initiates things.....because that would mean you aren't a man and that would destroy any and all attraction and respect she had for you.

Sounds like she is trying to get your attention and her feelings for you have gone further then just friendship. If you just want her as a friend you might want to tell her before it gets to deep
