because they have to go through it alone and nobody can help them; even if they have friends they make there own desicions and stuff. They may be scared of the fact that somebody is no always there, as they get older in higher grades

school calls for a measure of discipline and regimentation. Most want to be free to do whatever whenever. The threat of bullies and violence does not help the situation either.
