I painted over creases in my canvas and now it looks creased,,need help to get them out,water on the opposite side did not help as I mopped it and streached it,

Try applying heat from a blow dryer on both sides. This works for dents and impressions on canvas, I'm not sure about creases. Try it. I'll be anxious to see what works for you. Good luck.

What I usually do is stretch it tighter and wet the back of the canvas but doesn't always work.

try gesso on the back
