Take the card out and put it into another PCI slot and reinstall the drivers...if that doesn't work it is fried!

Going into the control panel, click the system icon, and under the hardware tab click the device manager.

Look throught the listing for your sound card. See if it might have either a red X or a yellow exclaimation point need to it. Another device you recently added may be conflicting with it.

Right click on the sound card and uninstall it. (Since they drivers are already on your computer you are in no danger of messing it up.)

Reboot and it should redetect the card.

If it does not work after that, it may well be fried.
