Well, Chris has a female "best friend" who I used to think he had something going on with. He kept telling me how rediculous it was for me to think that, and well. I started to believe he was telling the truth. This morning I woke up. And seen that I had a missed call and new voice message. So I listened to it. And instead of saying "hey ashley" he says "hey Valerie" and continues on with the message like he didnt even notice he'd said the wrong name. What should I do?

there might be nothing going on w/ that girl so u should play ur message in front of him and see what he says. if he realizes and apologizes, maybe he just wasnt thinking so u should give him another shot.

Since when did a slip of the tongue deserve a flick of the wrist? Jesus, can't a guy make an innocent, absent-minded mistake? He is friends with her, after all. Why are there women here calling for the guy's head? Maybe he'd be better off without the kind of woman who is so insecure with herself and the relationship that she would end it over a slip of the tongue. I'm glad I'm not female, at least not the mental kind.

Don't be paranoid until you've gotten well purpose. I often discover myself just about calling my female friend by means of an exes identify for the reason that I used to be together with her decades and he or she is identical in a few methods to my new female friend. But I have now not obvious or talked to her in years and I would not have any emotions at involved in her anymore and have not for simply as lengthy. Don't concentrate to these kinds of humans that inform you anything is flawed!

Ouch! He is sooo busted that it isn't even funny. To defend him I will say this: One time my girlfriend called me early in the morning. I was dazed and confused, and thought it was someone else. I said 'Hey Linda, how are you?" to which she screamed "Who the F**** is Linda?' Oops, I made a boo-boo and I wasn't cheating, but my mind was just somewhere else.
He might have made an honest mistake and you really should have corrected him when he did it. Give him a chance but if he does it again, I would seriously get angry.

It may be nothing but a tongue slip. My best friend is male and I've accidentally called both my brother and my boyfriend by his name when they get on my nerves. It's like, the wrong name just came out lol

Well although it sounds bad, it is possible that it is an innocent mistake. I personally have the problem myself, I call my boyfriend occasionally by my nephew's name, who is 6. I don't have any attraction to my nephew, of course. This is a common problem in my family. For instance, my grandmother used to go through both of my brother's name before she got mine, and she did that to them as well.
But also, I guess it could be a sign of a problem. You definitely want to discuss it with him.

maybe he just got off the phone with her. I called my girlfriend by my ex's name, I apologized and she said ok, just ask him why and make him apologize
why do girls let someone go after one small incident? it was a name mistake, not like he's cheating on you. It's nothing wrong with having a best "girl" friend.

maybe he could have been about to call her and she was on his mind. if i were you i would not come second best to any woman. have him make the decision either you or her. do you really want to be in a relationship where this is going to eat at you? it is up to u. either u stay with him and deal with it or u tell him to choose and tell him to go u know where. good luck

And so what ? I think it's no problem at all. I once called my bf the wrong name ( I called him with my ex bf's name ) and trust me , I don't love my ex and I don't even like him, I don't even think about him that much, but somehow I called him the wrong and he heard it.. He didn't make a big deal out of it and I really appreciated that. Don't worry ;)
