I don't want the love of a fictitious character from a story book. And I don't want them to sound even crazier then they already are by talking to them selves.

I was once a fundamentalist christian, and my guess is that they usually say that when they find out that you're not just like them. It's the fundy equivalent of saying '**** you', and it is said with just as much love as their very loving god has for us all. But come on now? Don't you want the love of ANY fictitious character? How about Superman or the Easter Bunny?

There is no god, only infinite consciousness which you are a part of, like everyone in this reality. Imagine a large pool of water. Now imagine a droplet of water falling into the pool and merging with it as it hits the large quantity. In this same way we are all just a droplet from the pool of infinite consciousness to which we return to when we 'die'. Personally, I can't wait. Nothing could be worse than this hell we live in now. If god is so great & dedicated to saving people, why is he not saving us from the likes of Bush & Blair? And notice how in every major religion around the World, the central characters all have a similar story, just under different names. I always feel disheartened when somebody is blinded by their 'faith' and cannot see through the veil of lies & deceit that they are constantly being spoonfed. Poor souls.

God loves everybody, and as far as Christians go if there good Christians they will pray for you, but they will quote the Bible every chance they get. The problem is the bible was written by mankind so man can profit from it, you only need to read it to see I'm telling the truth. The idea of the bible containing God's words, is great, and at one time true, but you can't trust man.
What you should do is have faith not just in God but in yourself, and hopefully your family, without faith there is nothing, but don't always think that you have to believe in God to have faith.
The Christians will still go on,and on about how good they are, but let them get on with it. The time will come and they will see.

God is not a fictitious character from ANY story book. The Bible was set on Truth. God is Truth. They tell you God loves you because he does. I'm sure he doesn't approve of your actions- we are all born sinners. But because of Jesus Christ - we aren't condemed to an eternity of suffering - if we choose to believe that HE is our Savior! Until God calls you to understand that power, you will still be confused.
Prayer is not talking to ourselves. Prayer is talking to God. He listens and answers EVERY prayer.
I WILL pray for you - and for the other people here that think this is a joke. One day we will all be judged. I'm proud to say that Jesus Christ is on my side, and I will live in an Eternity of Happiness.

They say it because most Christians are misinformed by a tract that came out in the 1960's called the four spiritual laws stating that law # 1 was, "God loves you and has a wonderful plan for your life.". The tract really took off in Christian circles and most Christians believed that God loves everyone. That is not Biblical because the Bible says God hates the workers of iniquity. So consider yourself lucky, God probably hates you and does not have a wonderful plan for your future.

Why does a child believe in Santa Claus? Because he is too ignorant to know how silly the idea of Santa Claus is to anyone with half a brain. Unfortunately, most Christians aren't brave enough to stand up to peer pressure and actual think for themselves or to challenge ideas that are clearly just plain silly. It's kind of sad, really.

Because patronising you makes them feel better and helps inflate their superiority complex.
It makes me laugh how christians are supposed to be humble etc and yet you have gotten the most arrogant, rude replies (calling you arrogant for simply having your own beliefs). Christians should read the bible and actually practise what Christ says. Christians don't do this, which is why I tend to be scornful of Christians. Don't you know that Pride is one of the seven deadly sins? Your pride in yourself for being Christian is not a good pride, it's a destructive pride because it leads you to feel superior to other people when in reality YOU ARE NOT SUPERIOR TO ANY OTHER HUMAN ON THIS PLANET.
And no, God didn't make me. God doesn't exist.

Ok so you don't beleive in god, neither do I but I do beleive that when someone prays for you it is because they want to give you all the love they can by doing what they beleive will help you. That's got to be a good thing whichever way you look at it. People love and care about you

You know what you were getting into and God knows only knows why you expect anything different because this is the R/S section. agnostic and atheist is not spiritual nor religious. Obviously, you are feeling better by coming on here but the power of God will made you free!

The Bible is not some story book its the truth. It is true God loves everyone no matter what they did or will do. I'm not going to force you to believe what I am saying but it is the truth and you have the choice to believe it or not.
