The current device drivers that are available for windows Vista are limited, Because Vista is not officially released yet the only people that have it or really need it are the developers who are writing and decorating the drivers and software for when it is released. Getting it before then can cause undesired effects that unless you have technical knowledge or programing knowledge you will not be able to overcome easily.

I would not install the software if your laptop is your primary computer and you've not backed up your data. The risk is too high for beta software especially a new operating system.

well aside from a possible complete system crash if you dont know what you are doing, a beta version of anything with the windows logo is likely to leave you more vulnerable to viruses than winME

It's Windows! You'll have all KINDS of problems, no matter what version you use.
