Words from a Garth Brooks song:
"Some of God's greatest gifts are unanswered prayers"
God has a reason why things don't happen as expexted or as you would like. It's hard to be happy, but it's something you cannot control and have to accept. Take care

I simply try to not set so many expectations. That way, I am not always disappointed. I feel it's natural to feel "let down" when things don't go as expected. I pray for God to lead me in the right direction and I try to live my life the best I can. I know that everything happens for a reason so I have faith that God is in control and whatever happens is for the best. This gives me peace when things don't go my way! Some things are beyond my control, other people and outside issues do not have power over me and do not control my feelings. Things are going to happen, that's life; it's just a matter of how I handle the situations placed in front of me. I wish the best of everything to you and whatever you're dealing with right now. Remember, this too shall pass. Yesterday is gone, tomorrow may never come, so LIVE just in TODAY!

I guess you have to be thankful for what you do have and come up with a plan to change the situation at hand. Then again maybe is wasn't meant to be to start w/.

Expect the unexpected. Then when the unexpected happens, it was expected....so then you can be unexpectedly happy.

You are never suppose to expect anything. If it happens then good, but if it doesn't you won't be disappointed!!!!!

think of the worst possible scenario of how bad the situation could have turned out...then you can be thankful that it wasn't that bad.
if that doesn't work for you, then just ask yourself what you can learn from this present situation (eg. about yourself, about others, about life, about faith, etc). this way, you will at least gain something from your life experience.
