No, humans dont get parvo, but yes, your other dog can definatly get parvo also. It is very contagiuos and deadly. I work ed in a pet store that I found dead pups every day when they had a parvo outbreak. If your adult dog starts getting loose smelly stools, get it to the vet fast. The sooner you do, the better chance you have of saving him.

Your adult dog can get it if your adult dog was around the puppy. Have the adult dog checked NOW, before it starts displaying symptoms. It'll be easier on the dog and on your wallet to treat it early.

I do not believe Parvo is contagious to humans.

Adult dogs have stronger immune systems then puppy's. It is a possibility but not likely if you just sanitize everything the other dog may have used too like water and food dishes and special spots where they lay and places like that. My puppy got very sick and died from parvo and my other dog that was only 9 months old didn't get sick. Just clean up the area and he should be fine. Hope your puppy makes it. Good luck!

Parvo is VERY contagious
ask your vet/call the hospital ... they will tell you what precautions you need to take so your adult dog doesn't get it.
Unless your adult dog has had the vaccine -- it's standard when you take a puppy to get their 1st shots... then your adult dog can't get it :)

I'm sorry to hear about your puppy :) I hope he/she can get through this!

Most people answered this already correctly, but I wanted to give you one more suggestion with some hope. Talk to your vet about using PediaLite...it's home remedy we were told about and now our Rotweiller that had Parvo as a pup, is now 8 years old!

Good luck and so sorry to hear about your puppy!

Yes it is possible that kind of dieases is contagious to any dog. I suggest you take your other dog there to check if it does not have it either. Yes your adult dog can get it with the same symptoms.

yes! parvo is highly contageous!! infact, it will stay in your ground, for 7 years... potentially any animal that comes onto your property where your other dogs have been could get it... you need to take your other dog somewhere else to try to prevent her form getting it... if she already has it tho, and you let a friend keep her, then you just infected their house too. talk to your vet about it...
