I had the same problem with my 10 month old cat. Someone on here told me to make a "Miaaooww" sound when he would bite me to signal that it was hurting me. When I began doing this, he would stop and take notice. He continued to bite for a few weeks after but every time he did, I made that sad sound and he eventually stopped. Also, is your cat spayed or nuetered? Sometimes when they aren't, they are more aggressive. The other thing to try is to introduce a toy that is acceptable when your cat begins biting. Try pushing the toy toward him and encourage your cat to bite this instead. Good luck.

When I had a house cat I learned that you can't reprimand a cat like you can a dog. They don't care. And if you spank or swat them they become afraid of your hand. But what does work is a water bottle with a squirter. Everytime they do something bad spray them in the face with the water and they will stop. I finally got to where when she saw me pick up the bottle she would flinch and stop what she was doing (clawing furniture, biting, etc.)

I have 3 cats and one of them was biting for a while. I stopped this by always having a small glass of water near me. When the cat started to bite, I would dip my fingers in the water and flick it at him. He would not like that and would run away. It didn't hurt him at all, but it let him know that if he bit, he would get water in his face. He stopped relatively quickly.

if this cat was declawed you need to recognize that biting is a common side effect from being declawed and punishing the cat for something done to it is cruel and unfair...

otherwise a squirt with the water bottle is your best solution

Umm,, kinda do no longer artwork.. "No!" in a stern, meaning employer variety of way is extra constructive (the tone you utilize to a 4 year previous toddler this is attaining on your high priced pc or fragile crystal). Push him off faraway from you. purely snatching your ft away potential to him that he would desire to play chase. you may attempt having a squirt bottle of water in hand while he tries for the socks. attempt giving him his very own sock that has your ft scent on it. (sounds weird and wonderful, yet he would love the scent of your ft!) If he insists on pouncing your ft, see if a shocking clap of palms takes his recommendations off his 'prey' (in view that's what he thinks your ft are at that component) You did no longer say he grew to become into nipping epidermis while being playful or purely arising to rub and chew. If he's doing this throughout the time of play basically- he hasn't discovered to play severe high quality. Be consistent and end playing the 2d he nips/claws throughout the time of play. Push him faraway from you and forget approximately approximately him a couple of minutes. tell him no, ouch, that hurts... regardless of word you choose him to verify as his cue to play severe high quality-as you push him away. My dad tells his cat "placed up the knives, boy!" "i'm no longer your supper, boy!", or "Play severe high quality" while the cat gets too tough. i wouldn't attempt to rigidity the tummy rubs till he's discovered that playing tough potential no playtime. Ask the rescue what history he got here from... if he's been abused it is going to take some endurance on your area to get him safeguard feeling adequate to end nipping. they can even have some solid person-friendly suggestion on the thank you to administration his overzealousness. Have the two between the cats spayed/neutered ASAP in the event that they do no longer seem to be already fastened. I had a seal component Siamese who could actually arise and slap as difficult as she would desire to while she grew to become into annoying interest and wasn't getting it....quite a startling element, yet she knew claws weren't an selection different than for the scratching submit. speaking of scratching posts.... purchase one that has sisal/hemp variety rope particularly of carpet. Saves the cats confusion between the scratching posts and the carpet on the flooring/upholstery.

Flick she/he on the front of the nose when she/he does it. Or if you can, squeeze the top part of the mouth while he/she is biting you.

drop it off at a Chinese restaraunt, they'll eat it. OR.....put out a dish of anti-freeze for it's dinner. BUT, if you love your kitty, a plant mister works great, you just mist her face when she take a nibble of your arm.
