My Shepherd follows my children as well..especially my youngest. They are a VERY protective breed.

Your pup has bonded closely with you, perhaps you are the one giving all the attention, praise, goodies, etc. Your Mom may not be the "favorite". It is great the pup has bonded so closely to you. Sheps are a very social animals who make a "pack" out of their family members. As long as there is not any kind of aggression between the pup and your Mom.....enjoy the experience!

Your puppy will follow you because it looks at you as a alpha. In other words you are the mom wolf, this is the time when you should teach it how to follow the rules. Be good to it. A dog is a mans best freind

A german shepherd is a man's best friend, and maybe evn more than other dog breeds, since they are extremely protective dogs. I have a female german shepherd and would never change her for anything in life!!!!

My GSD (German Shepard Dog) Followes me too. I have had some that follow my dad and I. Usually it follows the boss of the house or the most superior one. If you yell at it more than your mom then it will think that you are the boss and it will treat you mom like it is the boss to her! Or it will follow young ones like you to protect you!Hope this helps!!!!!

Your German Shepherd is "herding" you AND protecting you. Shepherds are very loyal and loving dogs. Treat her with kindness and rewards, and you'll have a friend and protector for all your dog's life. I've had 6 GSD's, and they all were the best. Do you feed your dog? Do you play with your dog? Go for walks and play and enjoy your pal!

Shepherds are very loyal dogs. They will often pick one person to love best, usually it's the person who trains them or feeds them or spends the most quality time with them.

make play with it more often. and for it to follow you you have to follow it. don't make it sleep with you.let it go to sleep with you on it's own
