oh yes they are loyal in a wild and unpredictable way. There is something magical in getting a cat to bond with you. yes it is a challenge but worth every effort. To feel the love of a cat is to know you are not a completely bad person.

I think it all depends on the owner & the cat how well you treated them , I have read stories of families that have moved thousands of miles away, and on moving day the cats had wandered off & couldn't be found and then miraculously they have found their way to the new house so I'd say that was loyal I know my 2 cats are part of my family and we treat them like that I don't know what I would do if anything happened to either of them...have a nice day

Yes. but cats are in there own little world half the time and they do what they want. but when I get home from home my cat come right to me and wont leave me alone until he gets rubbed down for a good half and hour and after that he'll go do his thing and at the end of the day he's right there on my bed sleepin. They're very fun animals excpecally when u play with them with a lazer pointer and make the run into walls.

Yes they do.. Especially when the cats have good time and treated with special attention from their owner.. I have experienced one time, Our pet cat was given to other owner, After couple of weeks, they told us that the cat ran away.. maybe he's finding us by now... but too bad we transfered to another house.. They know how to find you through sniffing out tracks..

Even though cats tend to me independent, they do know who their owners are. Take my cat for example: While she hates to be held, she'll come to me (even if my family is in the room) and me alone. I've taught her how to give kisses and she won't even give them to "Daddy" (my boyfriend). And Smokie will come to me when I call her, but then agin she has the attention span of a 2 year old and isn't the brightest Crayon in the box.

I had a cat for 21 years who never left the house and often would come to my bedroomI just for a chat. As I normally did not feed her, I attribute this to some sense of loyalty.

Cats can be loyal, they can be trained just like dogs. Of course it takes alot of work.

my cats do know... even with in our family the cats have certain "favorite" family members and both will come when I call... I say their names with different tones and they come. The one will go for walks even, (tags along behind or beside with no leash - we are in the country) the other is indoor only an dislikes strangers
