I want to gamble on the world cup matches but shouldn't really as i have gone into my overdraft. If my gf finds out im gambling again she will go nuts because I used to gamble far too much. Problem is i have chosen 3 group matches and studied the teams and cant possibly see how my gamble will not come off, i.e one of them is germany beating costa rica , its probably going to be a thrasing. If I win i will more than double my money.
Advice please

You had a gambling problem before, and chances are - you felt confident when you placed your bets before. Why are things different now? Its part of a vicious circle - gamblers coming up with different ideas to try and "chase" their losses.

Also, over the period of a year, gambling should only account for a tiny proportion (e.g. 1%) of your salary.

Your main priority at the moment is to tackle your overdraft. Try to think of the psychology behind your gambling and overdraft....

I am a successful gambler and so couldn`t possibly tell anyone not to gamble. Though my advice to you is to choose your game carefully and be very patient.
My game is Poker and of course that is better than gambling in betting shops, because in betting shops the overall winner is the shop. When you play poker amongst other people in your local or whatever, for there to be losers there must also be winners (who have got their money), for this reason private card games offer much better odds than gambling in betting shops.
By the way at the mo it`s 2-1 to Germany, hardly a thrashing!

You already anxwered your own question..............youre in debt and gambling will only dig your whole a little deeper.

It isn't about which team will win.... either way you are already a looser as you are over drawn on your savings account.

The best way to have fun is to spend your money on an entrance ticker into the soccer match; so you can experience the excitement and thrill of each goal in person.

The first game in the world cup is never a big win. It's a risk but then that's why it's called gambling

While gambling is fun, it is not something you should do when your bank account is overdrawn! Think about what you are doing before you make a bet!

There will be plenty of other games to bet on when you have EXTRA money to do it!

It's never a good idea to borrow money for gambling. It's also not a good idea to risk losing money on gambling when you have an overdrawn bank account!

No, I don't think anyone should gamble because you can lose a ton of money just trying to make more. Even though you can make a lot of money, would you like to make the risk of losing a lot of money.

YOU have 2 duties here. One is the duty to yourself: do yourself a favor and don't gamble. I know you know it. Two is the duty to your relationship which should be one based on trust and honesty. Keeping a secret from her does not only joepadize your relationship but also makes you feel bad deep inside.

Isn't it time to free yourself from temptation?
