If America is so ignorant of world politics, then why are we the only remaining superpower? Where does that put your third-world, a$$-backward abortion of a country on the scale of things?

And here's a news flash for you: The U.S. has ALWAYS been criticized, especially by those ungrateful countries that seem to conveniently forget how much the U.S. has done for them.

We spend several billion dollars a year propping countries like yours back up when disasters such as earthquakes and floods strike your pathetically underdeveloped countries. It's funny,... I've never seen footage of disaster victims in foreign countries screaming for the Americans to leave their country...

The truth is this: The only thing ignorant about American world politics is that we keep dragging your asses out of disasters that would certainly kill a great many more of you if we just had the cold, hard common sense to leave you alone, AS YOU SAY YOU WISH TO BE!...

Now,... shut up and go make me a Slurpee!

Your moniker may be "honesty" but I assure it is something you know little about. We hear these bullsh*t rants from people like you telling us that our governments are corrupt or horrible dictatorships. Look at your own government! This year alone you have required massive aid by our GOVERNMENT and our MILITARY to help you through natural disasters. I will not say our government is perfect but I think it is vastly preferable to Pakistan. I don't see an immigration problem where people love Pakistan so much that they can't stop the flow of people into it. If America is such a horrible place filled with horrible people why do so many people risk so much to come live their and seek citizenship? If we (and our government) are so evil why do we continuously help the poor countries of the world? I don't see Pakistan leading the efforts to provide aid around the world. Here is my advice, fix your own country before going on a rant about a government that you are totally ignorant about.

To answer your question directly...
If you look at the popularity of the US in the past and its ups and downs. You would notice that when we are Very prosperous, i.e. Best economy in the world, Fall of communism in Western Asia/Eastern Euroupe, and the world doesn't need anyone to save its *** we are very hated.
But when we are down for some reason, i.e. 9-11, Pearl Harbor, Ohklahoma City, Stock Market crash, Floods in the Midwest, Hurricains, Earthquakes or whatever calamity the world secretly wishes upon us they are all Prais and have nothing but good things to say about us.
It all has to do with the reporting.
Also a person in Pakistan telling Americans that they are ignorant when you have a state run media and we have a free/open media (if scued far to the left). Smacks of Hypocrasy and Ignorance.

It is easy to hate and far harder to love. Easy to hate some amorphous entity like America or Americans. I am sorry you feel that way.

You see what a rant like what you put out has gotten in return? Other rants. *sigh*

I would offer that Americans open their hearts to give generously to people of Pakistan and other peoples of the world when it is brought to their attention that there is a need. Earthquakes and tsunamis? American aid is there. Check the link below. Please.

We have our problems with government. Don't you? Don't we all? Is it not the problem that the very very rich take the reins and forget the poor? The powerful elite are always thus and owe no allegance to any nation but themselves.

Instead of hating, use the Internet to try to bridge the gap and find brothers and sisters. If you need help, ask. If you need understanding, explain. Be slow to accuse and careful to show us your viewpoint in ways that enlist us in humanity's cause.

We are not your enemy. Blind extremism is.

We don't need to be terribly concerned with world politics other than those we instigate. If we were not winning the game, we'd have to be more concerned. We're concerned with those that are close to us in score...China would be the biggest concern currently...

Asking this kind of question in the Military section is bound to get you some hostile reactions.

We could 'get away' with Bush but it's damn hard to impeach a president. You only have a couple more years of King George II.

For now, how about you just sit back and relax. Maybe one day, it will be Pakistan's turn to be in the top ten. Until then, keep working at building your own nation...and please, try not to nuke India, that would be messy.

I don't know what loserass country you're from and I really don't care. I will not sit here and listen to you bash the country that I love and that I have been living in all 23 years of my life. And let me tell you something about politics, it's not always that we pick a president beause he's best for the job, sometimes we just really don't like the other guy. Case in point with Al Gore and John Kerry. So here are your options:

1. Shut the fu*k up
2. Shut the fu*k up
3. Shut the fu*k up

I love my country not because I think it's perfect, but it's my home and I'm not going to let some ********* outsider tell me how they think America sucks. You don't even live here so shut your damn mouth.

Ignorant how, exactly?

You speak as if what is going on outside of the US is all that important to people in their daily lives. It isn't, except those places where the US has an interest.

Perhaps your blame should be laid at the feet or the US media, which is so hell-bent on removing Bush and the Republicans from power they fail to actually report news.

I'm just trying to figure out what exactly you're talking about, since, as a typical ranter and raver, you haven't the capacity to talk about actual facts or specifics.

As for people who hate Bush and hate America, seek treatment for your inferiority complexes.

Did you know that the shipping lanes of the seas of the world, are protected by the US Navy?

Did you know that the US Military trains with several of your Militarys in the world, or provides training?

Hmm need you be reminded of Tsunami relief, relief in the Pakistan earthquake, peacekeeping in Bosnia and Kosovo still helping to hunt criminal activiity there by the way.

Sure it isn't only the US doing these things to help out. It seems to me that only people actually involved in these things truely understand things.

I don't know what country you are in, but have you thanked the U.S. for helping you out lately?

You'd get a punch in the nose if you insulted my President like that in person. Then I would educate you on how you are so wrong. But I've typed it here a thousand times, and I'm tired of doing it.
