Being tall is cool. You get a better view and the air is cleaner up there. And it's sexy. Embrace your tallness.

Girls are growing faster than boys. Don't worry of being taller than your friends and boyfriend. Your height will stop increasing by 16, even earlier. I am as tall as I was when I was 14 years old and now I'm 25. From 10 to 14 years old I achieved 17 cm of height, but not even 1 cm after 14. So, it might happen same to you. And hey, 5'6'' is not REALLY tall. If your boyfriend is shorter, it's not a big deal, as boys start to grow by 14 years old really fast and by 18 he can be 4 inches taller than you, even more.

When I was a kid I was always taller than everyone in my class, and all my friend, I GUESS I just grew faster than everyone else. I hated it at the time but now I like being tall, though you usually get stuffed in the back of a picture, but still it does have it advantages doesn't it? Really there isn't much you can do... while short people can wear high heals, all tall people can do is try to slump down. Just be sure to wear flats if you are that uncomfortable. Maybe you can get your friends to wear high heals... That will make you look taller! Good Luck!

Not only the modeling industry, but all business fields favor women who are tall. Get an MBA, become a six-figure earner. Models usually rely on their good looks and are exploited.
So what if your boyfriend is shorter. Does he have a good personality. Is he smart? Is he nice? You should care what your family thinks about you. Make them proud by excelling in school. Be well-groomed to enhance your beauty.
People will envy you for your attributes which include your height. Absolutely do not slouch. Not only does it look bad, but it puts pressure on your internal organs. Wear flat shoes only because heels but pressure on your toes. Learn to run and dance to have stamina, and balance. Work on your health.
These are the things that matter. Education and health. Good grooming and good manners. Be proud of your accomplishments. And you can sell your eggs because childless people want to have tall blonde kids both male and female........

I'm also on the taller side (5' 10"). I disliked it for a long time. Now that I'm 33, I actually love it. I do find there are times when it's a disadvantage still (especially when dealing with men who have "short male complex") but there are also times when I can use my height to my advantage. I rarely wear heels but if I'm in a power meeting (I deal with doctors and attorneys on a regular basis) I tend to wear heels and really use my height to my advantage as it can be an intimidation factor.
Embrace your height, no matter if your short or tall. The way that you carry yourself can make someone think that you're confident or weak.

First of all, clarify by telling how tall you actually are.
Secondly, stop hating the fact that you're tall. It's not going to change unless you become a double amputee. Besides, if you could make yourself shorter, you'd just find something else to hate on. Learn to be satisfied with the hand you've been dealt.

Don't bother. Just be happy being you and rub it in anyone's face who tries to tease you. I love being tall! In college, I got the top cabinets in the kitchen all to myself! I can reach things in stores without having to track down an employee with a ladder! I can help little old ladies every day! Plus, I'm overweight (by my bmi - I'm working on that this summer), but nobody believes it because I'm so tall! Being tall is a great thing.

Oh Blondie!!! Straighten up those shoulders put a big ole smile on your face and be happy and proud of who you are.
I am assuming you're quite young or you wouldn't feel this way.
My daughter is 5' 11" and we had this discussion over and over.
I finally got her to agree to walking straight and pasting a huge smile on her face and she promised me she would for 24 hours.
It made all the difference for her. Good self image can for you too! If we appear happy with ourselves, others reactions to us will be very positive. If you spend your time concerned with your appearance rather than being proud of who you are and your own uniqueness, people will avoid because your own discomfort makes them uncomfortable near you.
People pick up on these things.
Be you be proud. You will soon see that height is an asset in lots of ways.

Nope, there's no way to make yourself shorter. Just avoid heels and shoes like that. You have no idea how many people wish they were taller! I'm 5'7'' and I wish I could be taller! You should use your tallness to your advantage for sports, modelling, or anything of the sort!

Ok, this is something you can't do anything about. That leaves you one choice - accept yourself the way you are and stop wasting time on wishing you were shorter. You will only make yourself unhappy and you aren't going to change anything. Do not slouch! It looks pathetic when you see someone trying to hide inside themselves. Hold your head up and remember, runway models are tall too.

Being tall is a benifit of life. You don't have to have foot stools to reach things. You don't have to stand on your toes to kiss your boyfriend. You don't have your friends using your shoulder as an arm rest. I'm 5foot even and can go on and on about the benifits of being tall. Besides most guys like a woman with long legs.
