He is getting you trained to swithch food. Science diet is one of the better foods but you need to stick to one and not be switching around. Put the food down in the morning and evenings and leave down for 10-15 minutes only. Pick it up after that time and do not put down till the next feeding time. Your dog will not starve and will learn to eat when the food is down in the time. Never leave the food down 24/7

Sounds like your puppy has you pretty well trained..... A healthy animal will never starve themselves. Perhaps you are expecting him/her to eat too much. The recommendations on the pet food containers are naturally exaggerated, obviously so you will buy more food. If the pup is steadily gaining weight, you should have no worries and he/she will eat when hungry. Of course, if the pup has gotten any people food from you or anyone in the household, the problem will be easily solved when that stops.

try not to switch foods too often, or at all, puppies eat smaller meals more times a day, don't force feed, he'll come around, if the pup starts to look too skinny, bony, or malnurished then see a vet
a dog with worms will overeat, not undereat, typically

I'd say he will eat when he's hungry. Make sure he's not eating anything else that is filling him up, like rawhide or your socks or something. If he is just plain eating no food at all, take him to the vet.

if he looks healthy and has meat on his bones then he's fine and probably eats when your not looking. if he is looking rather skinny he may have worms. get him to a vet.

If price isn't an issue, try Eukanuba (it's more natural...main ingredient is the meat...not meat-BY-PRODUCTS)!
Good luck
