If you mean what could you feed a sick dog that isn't eating...try people food (hamburger, chicken, whatever it'll take) or try meat flavored baby food (beef, chicken, etc) or as a last resort (it's more pricey) go to the veternarian or a PetsMart or Pet Supplies Plus and get this stuff called NutriCal (works wonders for unhealthy animals).

If you mean how you would tell if the dog was sick...mine eats grass if he has an upset stomach and it usually comes up later.

I don't have a dog but I would go with the first answer you got, chicken and rice, the vet recommended that to me when my kittens were sick.

they try to eat grass but its not good for them. Ask the vet for suggestions on what to feed your dog.

Usually when my dog gets "sick" she eats her own vomit!! LOL I know it sounds nasty but she does. What do you expect?? She is a freakin' dog.
She vomits after she eats grass!
