It is nowhere written in the Holy Bible. The Catholic Church is trying to continue with a medieval tradition with the fear of redemption for the 'sin'. The Church will not reform with passage of time.
Sex after marriage is desirable given the possessiveness of the males over their spouses. Otherwise, there is nothing called a sin. It is a self-regarding action and so long as you can prevent a pregnancy, like men folk, you have every right to experience sex even before marriage. But as said earlier, you will enjoy the marital bliss if it is done after wedlock.

No where does it say that pre-marital sex is a sin. However, it does talk about fornication and sex outside the bonds of marriage in Matthew, Mark, Acts, Romans, 1 Corinthians, 2 Corinthians, Galatians, Ephesians, Colossians, 1 Thessalonians, Jude, and Revelations. Not to mention all of the books in the Old Testament.

It says that fornication and adultery is a sin which would mean that sex has to be within the context of marriage (marriage means between one man and one woman). It says in the bible, "the two shall become on flesh". Read the bible, it's in there. I don't have time right now to look for it because I have to get ready to go to work.

Not a single one of those things says anything about sex before marriage. It says sexual immorality. The only kind of sexual immorality that is strictly forbidden in any of those passages is sleeping with your father's wife. And with good reason I should say. So what is sexual immorality?
And one man one woman... what? The Bible is full of multiple wives!!

not a christian-might get blasted for this-if i remember correctly the line has to do with marriage in the early christian church and is more or less as follows-if you cant keep from sex than you should get married-which implies to me that they had sex before marriage-if they could keep from it there was no reason to get married-just one of many things taken out of context-lots of love keep the peace old hippie
