Get a tattoo or get an older nurse. Also not looking and requesting a baby needle is useful.

sure I have a tremendous phobia of needles. My accomplice got here with me and pulled foolish faces at me at the same time she placed the needle in. If u can chill out it makes it plenty less complicated. I additionally figures that the day I provide delivery there'll probbly be a number of needles round so I might as good get used to it. BTW, do not flip down an epidural centered in this worry. U REALLY would possibly not think a lot of it whilst u are within the throes of labour. It was once a godsend!

Tell the nurse/tech you're afraid of needles and then don't look when they inject you. Think about something else. Sometimes, when I gave injections to someone who was afraid, I would get them talking, and gently slap the area to be injected. That way, the skin is tingling at the time the needle goes in, and they don't feel it. I've even had them say "when are you going to give me the injection?" and it's already over. Your best bet is an OLD NURSE!
