(I'm not familiar with a 'hopuse' but I take it you mean a 'house' rather than something to do with brewing, a pogo stick or a walking frame for kangaroos.)

as long as the hopuse is well fed, and given regular exercise it won't be too much of a chore. Is the hopuse male or female, old or young? Enjoy it, looking after animals can be rewarding, and she'll love you more for doing it!!!

Hey, they trust you to look after their house. Provided they don't have pets it can be an easy ride, you can spend the time watching their video's and dvd's. Just keep it clean. You really have more to gain from the arrangement than them.
Are you jealous that you aren't going away with them? Honestly, the time apart will probably do you both good.
