because 'evil' and 'nasty' people incite fear, which leads to feelings of passivity, which leads to the 'evil doers' following through with, to quote HavokBloodcraft's well written simplistic explanation, good people give and bad people take so the good let the bad take. and when you take and don't give you end up with a lot of stuff.
There is a commonly misunderstood accuracy in your question, however. "... the evil and nasty get everyTHING they want ..." but the good people get to feel the way they want. The warm and fuzzies that help us sleep at night, keep a smile on our face when everything seems to be going wrong, and leave us with a more fulfilling, contented life, love and legacy. The 'takers' live in an artificially stimulated virtual reality to escape the feelings of guilt and karma, and the way they trade property for consumable escapism is wasteful and disparate to life.

You just like using quotes & references don't you?
This isn't true, it just depends on your viewpoint.
A quote I like is, "What goes around, comes around." Not sure who wrote this ingenious piece of advice. But it's true.
At high school, there were a bunch of girls who were absolute bitches, they picked on everyone and made us feel inadequate. All the boys wanted them & we never got looked at twice. My girlfriend and I are still best friends and recently went to our 20 year high school reunion. Guess what, we're both skinny, gorgeous & happily married with beautiful children. They're all fat, ugly divorced & single parents living in slums.
See proves it - what goes around comes around.
Another good quote, and again, can't remember who wrote it, "When you get to heaven, God isn't going to ask you, 'Why didn't you become a millionaire?' or 'Why didn't you become a doctor and develop a cure for cancer?' All he's going to ask you is, 'Why didn't you become you?" Which means, that you just need to be as good a person that you can be and everything else is materialistic.
And sometimes, bad things need to happen so that we can learn the right lessons to become the best person that we can be.
It's your outlook on life that determines whether or not you've been shafted. You may just have received more opportunties to learn life's lessons than the next person who appears to have it all.

You eat the same food but it translates into different Genes and DNA. Every hair on your head carries your identity.
What is good or what is ultimately bad is realized only in the end result. Good too are certain and bad too are clear what they are going to receive. Even if the rain falls equaly the roses will bloom as roses and thorns on the same plant will bloom as thorns. Both have their own fragrance and contribututions. So do not worry what the others are recieving but be clear about your own actions and what you want .

The short term gains that are easily seen and perceived as profit for the ungodly have long term consequences that are not so obvious. Beyond that their moneys are like grains of sand slipping through their fingers.
This I believe;
