Technically speaking, you COULD. But there are pitfalls that come with that. You're going to have two anti-virus programs working in tandem, in a worst case scenario, Windows doesn't know what to do and crashes on you. In which case you would have to use Safemode and system restore to get back to a workable state.

At the very least the programs may identify the other as a virus and attempt to remove each other, this is bad if it happens at the same time because two programs are trying to prevent each other from doing their job, not good.

Or, nothing may happen at all. I've seen every extreme when dealing with two anti-virus programs running on a computer, from nothing happening to corrupting Windows beyond all hope. I do not recommend running two anti-virus programs at the same time.

My personal preference is AVG but use whichever one you want.

AVG would not choose yet another antivirus utility working with it. you are able to no longer deploy AVG with yet another . AVG advised me (it particularly is pop up) to uninstall the antivirus utility that I even have. It additionally advised me it is going right into a disk and there must be 7 some thing there. AVG and yet another will conflick with one yet another.

No. You should only have one virus software active and working at a time.

It is good to have more than one antivirus, because one might find something that the other one missed.
