Can we try to explain the concept of a flower without making one feel the smell of a flower? If I need to explain the concept of milk ... than I need to also explain the source from where the milk is derived ... how the cow is fed with the grass ... and for the grass to grow we need big fields ... and if these fields are not cultivated how do we expect to get good quality milk!
On the earthly plane, we visualize everything from the point of view of the senses. Anything beyond the concept of senses is not clearly understood. To be able to understand the entity of a human being ... we need to understand who created it and the purpose behind its creation. The human body is not a creation of the Mankind ... it is our Atman the soul within which has manifested the body ... in the cosmic life span of 8.4 million manifestations (a total cosmic journey of 96.4 million years) ... what is the value of a 70 to 80 years life span of a human being?
We need to understand the basics ... it is the Atman (our soul within) which is governing ... it has taken the body and not the vice versa. Our Atman the soul within needs a series of manifestations for it to liberate from the cycle of Birth and Death forever. The form of a human being is the last leg in the theory of evolution. Before the Atman soul has manifested a human body for the first time ... it has already passed through the various phases of evolution ... the body of an amoeba to start with, then an insect, a plant and finally being born as an animal.
How in the circumstances it is possible that we can even think of understanding the concept of the Cosmos in Hinduism or any Religion of the world unless we understand the underlying truth ... the truth of our Atman the soul within. It is only the ego of a human being that sometimes prevents us from assuming that there is a God. There are Human Beings who want to become immortal in this very life and that to in the physical manifested form. How can that be possible ... it is our Atman the soul within which get liberated from the cycle of Birth and Death ... it is our Atman the soul within which becomes free forever ... what is the significance of a human being except that it helps the Atman the soul within to expedite the journey.
The concept of a previous birth or the next birth is misunderstood. There is nothing of this nature that exists in the cosmic system. Had Human Beings possessed the power to be reborn ... if only it was the human being, which had manifested the Atman soul, only then this anomaly would have truthfully stood its ground. We are born and we die ... nothing is in our control ... the governing factor for every human being is the Karma ... the residual Karma from each birth manifested by an Atman the soul within which gets carried forwarded onto the next life through the chromosomes.
We Human Beings are really to be pitied upon ... we do not have the power even to create the smallest particle existing in the Cosmos ... yet, it is only as a human being that an Atman the soul within can get liberated ... in no other life form can one achieve Moksha (Salvation) ... the highest and the ultimate power available in the Cosmos is still with a human being ... the power to realize self and merge with the absolute consciousness.
Every seed in the Cosmos in order to germinate needs conducive environment ... after it grows into a beautiful tree ... can this tree be proud of its own self ... knowing well that whatever flowers and the fruits it produces can never be enjoyed by the tree itself. The fruits are meant for the Atman the soul within ... the tree only has to carry out its duty ... its Karma and wither out at the appropriate time. After the death of the tree ... the new seeds thus produced shall again get a new life ... manifest as a new plant ... totally unconnected with the earlier plant life (manifestation).

at the moment of death, and immediately after, a feeling of disbelief usually arises, as the person vainly tries denial. after the 7 stages of acceptance have been followed through, during which an almost dream like state of pure imagination is experienced, the spirit is presented with a choice. exist in this dream like state, reunite as pure energy with the energy of the universe (God), or reincarnate as physical matter in the universe. The first 2 can be chosen, unchosen and rechosen an infinite number of times, but when 1 chooses to reincarnate, they forget they are what they are, and begin the process of remembering themselves all over again. The first 2 have been misinterpreted, by people who have died and been reborn or brought back, as heaven, and the third has been misinterpreted as the only way. This is because the dream like state is like being inside joy, as if joy was something tangible that you could wrap yourself up in. The reunion with God is likewise like being inside love, yet the feelings felt and the thoughts thought can never be experienced in either of these states, so the majority of spirits choose reincarnation in order to attempt to experience those thoughts and feelings, making it appear as if it were compulsary. Nothing is required or needed, as spirits are totally at choice in every moment, in life and beyond. It is our minds and bodies that sometimes incorrectly disagree, which can lead to death.

Definetly. It's the basic concept on which one should build all his life. Knowing that Someone Up-There takes care of you and watches over you it's an overwhelming feeling.
You realise in fact that every human being is the most special thing on earth and that we are unique in our specific way.
God gave us life and one can't realise how quickly this life can be taken away... in just a second. And then what's the meaning of life if we just die and 'game over' at the end? None? I can't believe that, all my senses tell me that God created heaven for us and we may enter it, if we realise this....
I hope my answer helped you in some way. Bye!

i don't believe in one.
i think that when we die we just stop thinking and its not bad, its just over.
i wouldn't want to live for eternity anyway, wouldn't it get boring after a thousand years? five thousand years? you can only read so many books, watch so many movies, or sit next to god for so many hours.
many christians say its just about being in god's presence........wouldn't you get used to that too? i'm not sure. i think a more plausible afterlife scenario is reincarnation, but even then, how does our "soul" get from one place to another? are we the same person? do we have the same likes, dislikes, and abilities?
so in light of all this, i think we just stop thinking, we do too much of that in our lifetimes anyway.

I believe in the spiritual afterlife. That is, our spirit goes to heaven. Our physical form on Earth is just temporal. We will go to a much better place, free from disease, sorrow, pestilence...all bad things will be gone. To get to this place, we need to find salvation; to accept Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior.
Just to clear up some misconceptions:
It is true that Jesus died, but Jesus wasn't a spirit. He was a human being; thats why he could die. Since his father was a God, his father could raise him up anytime.
Jesus became a human because he wanted to understand our feelings; why we sinned, why we did this and not that. See, you cannot understand fully what a dog is doing unless you are one.
God does not die. Although there is a Holy Trinity, there is only one God. Jesus the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. Its one God being 3 persons.
All have different functions:
Jesus the Father- overseer of the world, creation...
Jesus the Son - he's one of us. He can sense our feelings and understand us. He brought us salvation
Jesus the Holy Spirit - he's a spirit. God sent him to guide each and everyone of us, right now. I mean literally.
before Christ* -- God
During Christ *-- Son
After Christ* ----- Holy Spirit
*Christ= refering to Christ's death here.
If Jesus 'died' on Friday and 'undied' on Sunday, what else besides a few hours was sacrificed?
--> Satan intended for Jesus to die, and in this time, Jesus went to hell, fighting all the evil spirits, undergoing all their torment, emerging victorious before being raised from the dead; now... is winning a battle a waste of time?
What's the BIG deal?
--> thats the big deal
David Blaine can almost do that.
-->key word here is almost, but in fact, he can't do it at all. Once he's dead, he's dead. It only takes one of God's miracles to raise him. He can't raise himself.
Why be a Christian who has to accept this type of thinking?
--> we accept it because we are grateful for his salvation, and his understanding and love for us. Besides, he helps us, each step of our lives.

i believe that how we live here on earth will determine where we live in the after life. if you dont believe in god and your happy with that then i certainly hope at the moment of your death your not wrong. god made heaven and hell for a reason. he said the road to destruction is wide meaning hell and narrow is the way that only few will enter meaning heaven. which one will your beliefs have you spend in eternity? will you suffer an burn in hell or spend eternity with god almighty himself or eternity??? people need to make sure they know for sure cause once you take that last breathe theres no turning back for second chances.

Jesus? Use your brain for just a few seconds.
If Jesus died, he could NOT have been God.
Do Gods die? Do they?

What's the BIG deal?
David Blaine can almost do that.
Why be a Christian who has to accept this type of thinking?

Jesus is very much alive, He DID rise from the dead. And if Jesus is alive and is preparing a place for me in His Father's mansion, Then I am looking forward to that, and I live my life in such a way to inherit that. Otherwise, what's the point if there is nothing after this life??????

I believe in reincarnation, various heavens which are temporary, and eternal state of bliss with God when one accomplishes enlightenment and perfects oneself or reaches the goal of life.

ur present deeds decide the fate of after birth,so its in ur own hands to decide that, thus the best way to do good to all selflessly, without ego,no expectations from anyone, have ur remote control in ur own hands means don't lent ur ears to anybody for reactions,be positive and enjoy the present moments,u can even feel the difference in the present life.
