Solids?
It depends on who you ask. Is the baby breastfed? The recommendation for starting solids is not until 6 months and some wait even longer. If you want to start earlier, don't start until 3 months at the earliest.

You should exclusively breast feed for 6 months, no solids, no water, no juice. Breastfed babies start solids between 6 and 12 months. Babies are ready for solids when they are able to sit up straight in a high chair and reaches for and is able to grab food off of a plate. Neither of my children liked cereal and didn't eat it for more than a couple of days.

Like others have said it depends on if you natural feed or artifical feed. Artifically fed babies will need proper solids supplimation earlier than naturally fed babies. Naturally fed babies can go on breastmilk alone for as long as they want. My son refused solids until after his first birthday, he is 100% healthy, the dr said he has never seen as healthy a child as my son.

lt really depends on wether the baby is on formula or being breast fed.A breast fed baby can be very content till around 9 or 10 months of age before introducing solids.lt can also depend on the baby and their own individual appetite.

In months, I dunno, but 17 weeks is the earliest you should offer solids, and after that just keep it dead simple. Reccomended is now 6 months or 26 weeks.
