For me India and Pakistan becoming one is a possible dream, like German unification. The only obstacle is the religious fanaticism prevailing in Pakistan, the day Pakistan will become a modern and free thinking nation-it will happen. Both countries share so rich social and cultural heritage that there is nothing that can come in between.
China joining the club! No way! They are different ... not only from India or Pakistan but also from Japan, Korea....etc. Their resolving border disputes with India...might help.

China and India will become super powers in their own right very soon. They don't need Pakistan, and would never take that country as a partner anyway.
1) Pakistan is India's arch enemy.
2) Pakistan has very low standards of education, technology and general economy and as a country dominated by religious rules and interests, it is backward and slow.
3) The fact that Pakistan managed to produce a few nuclear weapons makes no difference whatsoever.

Yeah, if you think mixing oil and water is a good thing! The three country's mentioned have all had problems with one another, it isn't likely they will become an axis power. An axis power of China - Russia - Iran, is one that is of some concern to our intel community. Whereas, the US is trying to reel in India and Pakistan as US allies, as a counter balance to the axis.

A more likely alliance would be China, Russia, and Iran. China's already making moves to come up, and its relationship is strong with Russia already, since the latter's almost sole export is weapons. Couple these two with countries who share mutual interests, such as the feeling of being bullied by the US (Iran, N. Korea), and you've got mad heads forming like Voltron to put the jux on us in the future.
One could argue that we create such an atmosphere, though.

No one can get the Muslims to like anyone. They are so involved in tribal war fare and hatred that cooperation even among Muslim neighbors is impossible. Ie, Iraq, Iran war, Iraq invasion of Kuwait. on and on Ad Nauseum.
