Yes you could lose weight by running 1 hour per day. Running is a bigger calorie burner than swimming, but it is fine to mix them up.
Generally, running burns 100 calories per mile or 100 calories per 10 minutes. Your calorie burn will vary depending upon your fitness level and how hard you are working.
So assuming you burn 500 calories per run, it'll take you (theoretically speaking) 10 weeks to lose 10 pounds (7 days per week at 500 calories, where 3500 calories equals one pound).
However, running that much might result in injury, especially if you currently aren't a runner. I recommend hitting the pool or an elliptical trainer. Your body will enjoy the change of pace and you'll put less stress on your joints and you'll have less burnout.
I usually run about 25 - 30 miles a week and hit the gym for weights 4 x week and I've maintained my weight for years.
You can use a site such as www.fitday.com to monitor your calories and activities to see how you are doing. Keep in mind, you certainly aren't overweight and I'd recommend using running for fitness, not a weight loss tool.
Good luck.

Your weight is fine, I think that you can still eat the same but try not to eat anything after 6 or 7 pm, I lost around 10 pounds like that and I don't run just walk, eating at night is the worst thing.
Good luck!

If you are not eating over about 1750 cal per day you definitely can. Maybe even up to 2000 cal per day. If you are eating more than that, probably not.

not unless your caloric intake is lower than the amount youre burning each day(running included) otherwise you will just maintain your weight and have more energy. fyi - for weight loss to occur there must be a calorie deficit, its just that simple you must burn more than u eat.

Please, you don't need to lose that much of weight. You're fine. However, if you intend to lose that much weight, you should also eat less while you run one hour per day.
