Jesus was God in the flesh and also the son of God the father ...so refering to Jesus as the son of God is correct....Satan is subject to God as are we all....Understand the trinity while the Father son and holy ghost make up the trinity they also can work seperately they are one and you are correct that Jesus could not have been tempted by Satan..But Jesus had to be tempted and overcome..whether satan truly believed he could tempt Jesus because he was in human form or whether he was just subject to the fact that he was pre-ordained to do as God willed for him to do the scriptures do not say...I believe that he believed he could turn Jesus against God he thought God in human form being weaker he had a shot...God while in the flesh was definitely lower than God the father Jesus was humbled as a man and was definitely in subjection to the father...Completely understanding the trinity is something that even very spiritual Christians have trouble completely understanding....But I would give you this as an example...If you do believe in life after death...or if you are a scientist you believe energy cant be destroyed....So what are you flesh and bone...do you have a spirit? if you believe that you are more than flesh and bone than you too are a combination of body and spirit...ask yourself which one you are? how can you be both?...We are created in the image of God...he created the body and breathed in the spirit and the two became a living soul.

1.If Jesus is God then why did Satan temp him?
Because Jesus while being God was also wholly man. and in order to fulfill the law Must be tempted in all ways as a man.
Satan, while a very powerful being is still finite. Satan does not know all or see all, nor can he be every where at once. Satan is a Created being as you and I. IN fact Man was created and placed higher then Him (Angels or Fallen Angels).
2.If Jesus is God then why did the demons(they possed some guy, can't remember text) call him "son of God"? The demons are Satan's hencemen and they have that knowlegde:
The forces of Darkness know the Glory (authority) with which man was crowned. while they did not know Jesus was Messiah they knew the Annointing (authority) Jesus walked in. Not since Adam had a man of flesh been called "Son-of-God" because Adam and everyone since him had allowed it to be stolen by sin.
3.If Jesus is God then why is God always revered to as the higher power in the New Testament?
Jesus referes to The Father. The Father is head of the Trinity. Dont forget answer #1 Jesus is in flesh and wholly man. So Jesus has Put on a corruptable body by putting aside the glory of his God nature. Not to mention Jesus came to teach how to know God and live as commanded. today with nearly 2000 yrs of study and knowledge man still does not fully understand Jesus and His ministry. How could they have known then. heck they thought the earth was flat? the sun revovled around the earth?
We now with all our knowledge still debate over Jesus are we any more enlightened then man was nearly 2000yrs ago?

Because:
1. Satan knows he cant temp God, but he wanted to try anyways. Jesus was God in Human form, and expirenced all of the same temptations we do. He just over came them with the Bible.
2. Demons know who God is, that is why they called him the Son of God. They are scared of him , and they should be. Who do you think through them into Hell?
And for all those people who follow Satan, WAKE UP AND READ YOUR BIBLE, BECAUSE SATAN LOOSES IN THE END!!
God Bless.

as to your first question Jesus was Fully God and Fully man this is what theologians call the hyperstatic union of Christ. Jesus being fully man was able to be tempted and temptation itself has never been a sin. Jesus is part of the trinity of God imagine a triangle and each side is a part of God: the father, son, holy spirit, each part is equally God but separate of each other, very confusing no one really knows how any of this works that why it's called faith.

Jesus who was/is the SON OF GOD and SON OF MAN was tempted by the devil so He would know what we go though when we are tempted.
Also Jesus was CLOTHED IN FLESH .
Maybe people(Christian's) shouldn't say that he is God,i don't think Jesus quite said that He was God,because He talked about His father as God.

God was in the flesh which means he was a man and He had to be an example for us for as not falling into temptation
They call him the son of God because He is the son of God in the flesh (human form).
God is our Creator, therefore,He is reverence as a Higher Power.

We know that Jesus can't be tempted because Satan tried and it didn't work. Satan didn't have that hindsight so he gave it his best shot. Also the scriptures needed to be fulfilled that says He was tempted in all things yet without sin.
They called Him the Son of God because that is what He is.

Well jesus isnt god they are two differnt people. Gods name is Jehovah and his sons name is Jesus. Jesus was being tested by satan to see if he would worship him or god. but Jesus knew it was wrong to worship satan so he didnt fall for his trick. he stayed faithful to god. if you have more questions i can answer them for you from the bible, my bible isnt with me at the moment since im at work. If God is God, then why did he create us when he could create a world full of dummies and throw lightning bolts at them for target pratice?
He loves us and wants to show us, to prove to us, that he loves us. He loves us so much, that he let "himself" be tempted by the devil and bought down to the same level as men to prove to us that we are not just here for target practice from his lightning bolts.
