On putting a cd in the cdw-driver and opening it, it never show the files which i had previosly registered upon this cd although the resulting window show the files i want to register. And since this is a prevailing problem which mostly encountered most of us, do you know a method to repair the drive,or even a helpful programme or site.

Either the CD is faulty (perhaps it wasn't finalised correctly) or the drive is.

Try a lens cleaning cd first (you can purchase this at most PC and electronics stores). If that doesn't work, try the CD in another drive (maybe on another PC). If you still can't read it, then the CD is faulty.

To me, though I don't burn many CD's myself, it sounds like either it's a multi-session CD-RW disk and you've erased the disk or previous sessions, or there is a problem with the session-index on the disk.
Try finalizing the disk or loading it in to another CD drive.
If you're using software like Nero to write the disk, check which mode you are using to update the disk eg "add files to disk / replace files on disk" etc. Also if you have more than 1 CD drive, check Nero is configured to work with the drive you are using.
