It's a Picnic theme, but it's indoors at an office building without and appliances to use for cooking. I have to come up with something EASY to prepare and relatively inexpensive; my budget is limited. PLEASE HELP!

Since this is for 220 people I'm presuming that your budget is at least 700 $ just for the food. Go to the local giant store and tell them you want to order for 200+ people and they will give you a deal for their deli items. Ask for rotisserie chicken salad and tell them to put celery in it also the Amish macaroni salad and assorted rolls. And then you can choose between baked beans, egg salad , flavored yogurt, fritatas ,hamburger mac and cheese, gazpacho, a make your own sandwich station and boiled corn on the cob. You can make this all yourself but I have no idea how you can manage all the pots and pans. All the best.

Do taco salads on the go. Buy individual bags of taco Doritos or whatever flavor, you can make the taco meat up ahead of time and keep it warm in a crock pot. Two or three big ones would be enough meat I would think. Then have lettuce, which alot of times you can buy big bags of it from a Mexican fast food restaurant if you call them ahead of time for fairly cheap and it goes along ways. Then have chopped tomatoes and onions and olives. Taco sauce and sour cream. They have been a big hit with kids and the many times I have done them. You slice the the side of the bag and crunch the chips alittle then scoop the stuff right into the bag. No paper plates no mess and it's cheap because you're using the bag that the chips come in. Very easy to prepare, anyone can chop onions and tomatoes and you could have alot of fun with the whole thing. Oh check with the Mexican fast food place for taco sauce packets also. The crock pots work great and if you check around I'm sure that you could find someone else with one. You could also do Hawaiian Haystacks they are really good also, but with the Taco Salads everyone likes them. If you need any more info feel free to contact me.
