ok my situtation is i got a ticket for backing into a guy in my own parking lot. the cop did not see the accedent and even told me that under florida law he could not testify that it was my fault and told me to just take it up and court and pleed not guilty and that everything would be fine and i would not have to pay the fine. my question is should i hire a lawyer for this situation or should i just go it alone? also has anyone else had a situtation like this in the state of florida?

the cop seemed very very sure about this as he told me exactly what to do in court so i would not have to pay anything at all. at this point im just wondering if anyone else has had this same situation in the state of florida?

Did you hit a guy or a guy's car? I thought moving violations in parking lots are considered private property and not public roadways. Did the cop seem seasoned/smart or like a newbie??

Don't hire a lawyer it's too expensive. There are websites that give ok neutralish legal advice, or pre-advice you could call it.

If you are backing....it's your fault. Pay the fine and forget it.

If you backed into someone, it's your fault.
