It depends on your criteria and which part of the country that you are in.
If you are considering finances your main concern, you'll want to avoid the "biggest" wedding months, which are generally May and June for most parts of the country (in warmer climates, it may be April and May). If you do your wedding in the off-season - in November, for example - you'll get much cheaper rates on rental rates and other items.
If weather is your main concern, that also depends on location. Weather wise, May and June are usually the best options - which is why they are the biggest wedding months. Earlier then that, you get finiky, sometimes dreary spring weather; later than that, you get hot humid weather.
Even in temperate or cooler climates, you may want to avoid July and August, since that is when most families go on vacation (since the kids are out of school). However, if you're having an unusually large number of out-of-town guests, this may work in your favor, as they may want to combine your wedding with their vacation. If you do pick this option, it is very important to: 1) send a save-the-date card at least 6 months before the nuptials; and 2) send out your invitations earlier than normal.
A few more thoughts:
Avoid any date in December. People are so busy with holiday plans and shopping they won't have time or won't want to attend. A lot of people who RSVP "yes" won't show up.
January is also eh. People are recovering from the holidays.
You can still get good rates during the peak months, if you plan enough and reserve your locales in advance.
Hope that helps!

Well they say if you marry in june you're a bride all your life but I think the best time is fall. Not too hot not too cold and it has the richest deepest colours of the spectrum. And for the honeymoon you can go to a nice warm place. But once you've found the right person any time of the year is perfect.

Whenever is most special to you. June is lovely, and I also love september for a wedding, but it is really up to you and your husband to be to decide when the best time would be to tie the knot. Remember its not about the wedding, its about the marriage. Be happy...

the best idea you have will ultimately turn into a disaster, its the rule of wedding planning. if its indoor it will be too hot, if its outdoor it will rain, if its under a tent it will be too cold. lol.
Just pick something you think would seem nice and then stick with it.
