We consume tons of water everyday.. but do we have clean water replenished?

guys, you meant to say that even our dirty water doesn't go to waste? dirty water such as water used from washing dishes, brushing our teeth.. water that has been mixed with different other chemicals? so this means we don't have to conserve water because it cleans itself going through evaporation, condensation, and precipitation after it had gone through our sewege system? this question is not about the cycle water goes through.. but a question related to conserving water.

The amount of water in all forms (salt, polluted, fresh, etc.) on earth today is the exact same amount that was here 200 million years ago. Interesting, huh?

As other posters said, the energy from the sun automatically replenishes a lot of clean water. There are several reasons to clean it up ourselves though. One, our waste is hazardous to the streams and oceans. Two, the natural replenishment might not be enough. Three, we might be downstream from someone who already took the water.

its a constant cycle between evaporation and precipitation. and all the human uses for water eventually get recycled back into the environment. so its not getting replenished its just not really going anywhere

Volcanic vents can release water vapor into the atmosphere to even out the water that is drank or used up in some way.

It evaporates through the surface of the oceans, lakes, and rivers. Then it condenses as rain and snow. It's constantly recycling this way.
