I am being a bit more racist if it seems so.....among the indian writers of Indian english literature most of them are bengali and from my city Calcutta, the cultural capital of India.

Actually it's not about hijacking, it's about making distinction. Indian English is a new genre in itself and it has created it's own literatti. So Indian english writing will flourish day by day and I say so with my due Respect to the people from the countries of Shakespeare and Edger Alan Poe. Because if they were not there we wouldn't have learnt english.
