she is very allergic to them! she loves cats but its thier saliva! i heard that there is something that you can give them (the cats) to cancel it out but im not quite sure!! i really dont want an outside cat and when i move out im pretty sure that she will be visiting! we went to a friends and they had a cat that sat on the couch and she didnt know this! when she sat there and then touched her face she puffed up!! and got swollen! so i would get one when i move out but she could still visit! plus i want it to be indoors!

Wait until you move out.

Some people who are allergic and want a cat are willing to put up with it if the allergy is relatively mild. If the allergy is severe or they don't want a cat that bad, there's no use trying to change that. Your mother would only resent the cat anyways. Cats should live where they are wanted.

Please don't listen to the people suggesting you just keep the cat outdoors (even if they do fancy themselves Drs). Outdoor cats live much shorter, sadder lives. There are too many dangers to cats who live outdoors; getting killed by other animals or cars, being exposed to diseases, etc.

My mother is allergic to dogs and we had two dogs all my mtoher did was go to the doctors and get meds to help with her allergies. If you have an outdoor cat it would help, but you must understand your mothers point of view on this too. I do hope you get a kitten as they are so lovely. Good luck

Easy, get a naked kitten.....LOL

The Sphynx is an adorable cat and the best part is......they are completly hairless. They do take a bit more responsibilty than a regular cat.

Try this before getting a Sphynx

Wait until you move out. Your mom should not have to suffer because you want a cat. Maybe you can get another type of animal that she is not allergic to.

Hi,
My name is Dr Guilermo Alejandro Mike
I suggest that you should rear the cat outside your house. Maybe you can buy a cage for it and put your cat inside the cage. When you want to play with it just let it to play outside with you.I hope that this can help you
Thanks
